Happy for Marissa who finally gets a chance to play the game! Hoping to see Marissa/Abby/Juju vibe together!!! I think they’ll be force to reckon with on their tribe.
Our other tribe has a more interesting dynamic and I could see it go many different ways and I’m not sure if we’ll see Ethan/Carson/Zaid stick together, if Ethan’s idol comes out, or if they implode as a tribe as expected and bring even more cracked energy to the game. Personally looking forward to see if people match their activity or not.

HERE FOR ABBY/JUJU/MARISSA. I have a feeling they will get along with Louise, too. And the game isn't ready for the amazing potential there...Overall, stanning Ealing hard and would love to see the go on an immunity run.
Woof, Harrow on the other hand is going to be a JOURNEY, I believe...If this tribe loses at all, imagine the CHAOS. Honestly, I can't wait. Really interested to see if Ethan can keep his composure and not self-destruct (he says he's relieved Leanna is gone...well let's see it). Maybe this will also help center Zaid some and give him a chance to recalibrate. Protect Dusty & Roy though...I worry that their strong personalities could make Ethan/Carson/Zaid decide to stick together though and we could lose a star early on...
Overall, I think we're in for a great swap.

Prod- what's the deal with getting rid of the dominant tribe?? It would affect my psyche to go from the winning tribe to a losing one, but even more if the winning tribe was just abolished haha. Anyway, I was a day behind and just spent a whole lotta hours watching everything at 2x speed and here are my takes:
EALING 2.0 Abby- Lovable but haven't seen enough. Others like her, will definitely go far- safe in this swap.
Casey- The confessionals are definitely a chore, but towards the end of his 8th one he actually started talking about the game and players in a more strategic way and I enjoyed hearing how he is thinking about everything. He's managed to position himself in the middle and was a crucial vote on his tribe. Tight with Louise, and Roy even mentioned that he wished he was a gay man... I'm worried about his spot on this tribe, but he's chill enough that he shouldn't be overtly targeted.
Juju- I feel for him. Being in an inactive yet entirely dominant tribe does not bode well for the presumable fan-favorite at the swap, but at least he recognizes it and will try to play dumb to compensate.
Lee- After FINALLY hearing something from Lee, it seems like he thinks he's in better with his tribe than he actually is. Would not be surprised if he's the boot right before the merge, but regardless it's so funny that he didn't want to be swapped with Abby, Miranda, or Juju..... womp womp
Louise- Beginning to take back my first impression (though not entirely). Super fun and is tight with basically everyone on the tribe. Not much else to say yet, looking forward to seeing how she handles being in the minority.
Marissa- GOSH. I find myself nodding along with every single word she says/types. SPOT ON analysis of both the meta game but also her position. She squeezed every drop of what Zaid gave her and made an EXCELLENT decision to not bomb the tribe chat with an "accidental" confessional. It seems like she's already making inroads with others on her new tribe- so excited that she was given new life and I have no doubt that she will flourish here. I think the most important aspect for her is to allow herself to actually slow down- Ealing trained her for the opposite, but she's experienced enough to know that it's critical to lower her threat level now that she won't be in desperation mode and could most certainly be picked up as a number.
Miranda- Haven't heard much from or about her. She's close with Lee, according to him, but I don't think that will do her much good. I'm worried about her new position despite the Bexley dominance.
HARROW 2.0 Brenden- Still my boy but pleaseeeee start doing something. You were actually doing well in your last tribe but being invisible simply will not work anymore!!!
Carson- Might be my favorite person to watch in this whole game. Not playing from the top or the bottom, but riding the middle like a champ. Spot on assessments of everything, and despite the GIANT mishap he still is playing (imo) very well. I believe it WAS in his best interest to take out Leanna, and now the Ethan/Zaid trio has a good chance of not being perceived as too close. Additionally, wanted to express sympathy for his loss. Some things are more important than a game, and I believe Carson has properly weighted these life events. IF it affects the game (even though it shouldn't), then I believe he is as prepared as he could be. ROOTING FOR THIS GUY.
Danielle- Everyone loves Danielle. I don't say this on the Skype VL but sometimes I think there is a certain demographic that is cheered on more than others, and I kinda make it my personal mission to give other folks some love. Danielle is one of the people that gets a ton of VL love. At first, I didn't quite get it, ngl. But, her confessionals are filled with an energetic confidence that permeates the game and it truly is entertaining to see. I might not be on #StanielleWarriorsRise level quite yet, but she could yet win me over. Congrats on getting past this vote, it was a big one.
Dusty- Speaking of winning me over..... Dusty is A LOT, but her energy and positivity is legit so powerful that it transcends the screen and brings even her most critical viewers joy. SO HAPPY she has an idol because we KNOW that it will be a source of drama. Dusty..... never change.
Ethan- His talk in the confessionals about Carson's mess up really rubbed me the wrong way. Sure, heat of the moment, but "he should've considered having his last weekend with friends before signing up for this game" was wayyyy over the line for me. IF HE'S BUSY WITH FRIENDS THEN LET HIM BE. Ethan took this personally which, at the swap, will likely be a rude awakening when some of his other tribemates determine that they, too, would like to spend time living their lives outside of this org- especially with Thanksgiving right around the corner. I think he is sharp enough to use his idol if he feels unsafe, and he's in the perfect position (2-2-3, or 4-3) to feel that way, so I think we'll be seeing Ethan at the merge. I do respect him for some of his other takes but he really needs to figure this out.
Roy- Lovin' his tribal outfits... but all that aside he maintains his status as a threat in my eyes. If I was on his tribe I'd be thinking about either how to take him out or use him as a shield. Regardless, his reads on the tribe are usually spot on, and I love that he sees the worth in Casey. They are both clearly putting in work and I hope the fact that he saved Danielle allows them a working relationship.
Zaid- I could listen to him talk all day. What to say.... he is articulate and strategic. I don't care what Lee said, I don't think Zaid is boring AT ALL. He took a grim situation and milked it to make the best decision for himself. He is in a strong position now with Marissa, Ethan, and Carson, so if the other tribes know what they are doing they should take this guy out immediately. But they won't.
ELIMINATED Calum- being silent obv has conseqeuences. Wish I could've seen more from you- I lost the suicide pool because of it! ha Erica- I was rooting for my fellow pun-enthusiast. You were a blast to watch! Leanna- I had you on my fantasy team because I know you have the skills to go far! You took the fall for your ally's mistakes. Hope you can learn from them anyways- it's important to not be considered too close to any one player!
Overall: I'm excited to see these people swap with each other- if I had to guess right now I'd think that Ealing will lose tribal fist and Lee would be booted. If Harrow goes, I think Ethan gets targeted but plays an idol and takes out Roy ;( Winner pick after round 3- still Zaid!

Okay, so I've been meaning to do a write-up on my thoughts on everyone, but I'm also going to hop on this trend and reiterate Carson's infamously tragic line, "Sorry I have a life and they're busy watching Schitt's Creek in their rooms." Meanwhile, I was just watching Schitt's Creek... anyway! Following this season so far has been extremely fun because of the fact that this cast is GOLD (tension, drama-- everything you could hope for in a game), I get to cheer on my own recruit, queen Danielle, and because I've missed Conquest so so much since last season! Playing was truly the highlight of my summer, so I'm excited for all these new players to the series to take advantage of the time they do have while playing because there's so much opportunity to achieve whatever the players are looking for in this game: new friendships, clout, beating a previous placement-- you name it! Also, this swap is spicyyyyy. That being said, here's a mix of my first impressions, misreads, hopes, and current reads on the players and their games...
EALING
Abby- As a fellow literature major, how could I not stan?? She's super likeable, but what's impressive about her is her ability to take that gift and her experience in ORGs to naturally have become the core force of the Bexley tribe, which I think will also pertain to her on her new Ealing tribe. I'm hoping she makes it to the endgame for sure & I can definitely see it happening as she's already got Juju and Dusty (for the most part lol mixed reviews there) under her belt. And now she’s met with Marissa? This will be a trio to be reckoned with.
Juju- Honestly, I wasn't a Juju fan at first. I forget who said it in the VL, but his intro video kind of made it seem like he was trying to act dumb and I got that vibe, too. However, Outback Steakhouse is my favorite restaurant so I remained optimistic because I figured, only great people probably work there, right? Fast-forward to the start of the game and having watched a few of his confessionals, I'm happy to say Juju is on my watchlist. He seems like a very smart player and I adore his friendship with Dusty. While he relates with Dusty more on a personal level, I think him teaming with Abby was a great strategic move for him. I look forward to seeing what he brings to his new tribe, and of course, like I said before, am hoping for an Abby/Juju/Marissa alliance.
Louise- BIG SEXY. Louise certainly has star power, and I could even tell that without all the VL (mainly John) hype. She’s so funny, but what strikes me about her even more is that she’s so down-to-earth simultaneously. I love her tribal answers and despite having my bias towards Danielle, I really loved the loyalty and trust Louise had in Erica. Her decision to vote off Erica with Roy and Casey though shows how she’s able to cut her losses and not become too much of an emotional player. I think she’s going to find no trouble getting along with her new tribe mates, especially players like Juju because Juju got along so well with Dusty and Louise is also a big personality.
Marissa- At first, I didn’t understand all the VL hype, because she came across as so “normal.” She seems to have a little dorky side to her though which I LOVE. But boy, did she show a different side to her in her confessionals! I think she’s definitely the most self-aware (and sassy) of all the players because it’s like all her reads match up with what’s actually happening in the game. Her sixteen minute confessionals are honestly fascinating because they’re so insightful; she honestly sounds like an omniscient narrator. It’s unfortunate she was left out of the alliance on og Ealing on day 2, but I think she was able to recover so well from her tragic prod/tribe chat blunder. A lot of that had to do with Carson’s error (it’s really not that hard to double check which chat I don’t get it xD), albeit she was thinking of different ways out of her hole even before that saving grace! I think she’ll have an opposite experience on this new tribe, being on top, aka where she BELONGS.
Lee- Admittedly, I haven't watched any of his confessionals yet, but from what I've heard, I'm not surprised at all that he's on the outs. He came off as a game-bot in his intro video, almost seeming like a salesman/campaigner talking about character development and whatnot, which is the exact opposite of Dusty's vibe, aka what his former tribe seemed more allured by (and rightfully so). If Lee doesn't step up his social game, he'll most likely be the first boot from Ealing because Abby and Juju were both swapped with him and not really interested in working with him while on Bexley.
Miranda- Out of all the players, I think Miranda is the most adorable. A lot of her tribe members from Bexley liked her on a personal level, too, so I'm hoping she starts to put more effort in with her social relationships because Lee is not a worthwhile ally for her at the moment. I'm also happy that people haven't used her relation to Katie as a reason not to work with her, but I think Juju said it best: "Never underestimate a Vander Vilet." I envision her getting along very well with Casey and I’m not quite sure why.
Casey- Although his confessionals are extremely long and his intro was rather mundane, I think that he’s someone so refreshing in these kinds of games because he just seems easy to talk to and trustworthy; there’s not enough space in this world for another Dusty. He seemed to be Roy’s #1 on og Harrow so hopefully he can readjust and find close allies again on Ealing and even hopefully stick with Louise. Again, I also see him and Miranda getting along if they’re actually able to get on a call.
HARROW
Roy- He was the biggest threat from the OG Harrow tribe tribe in my opinion. While he was the one who flopped the cup challenge, he positioned himself so well that that didn't even factor into the vote this round (it being between Danielle and Erica... rip). I couldn't agree more in his confessional tha his former tribe needed leadership, so while I know he said he wanted to play more of a backseat driver because he doesn't want to come off as this super intimidating org vet, I'm hoping he does in a subtle way because otherwise, this tribe could also go off course with the crack energy Ethan/Carson/Zaid will be bringing into this swap. I really hope he shows them that their game pace was not normal as the only real org vet on the tribe. If (and when) he makes the merge, I hope the more experienced players include him although he may not have had the chance to meet them.
Danielle- STANIELLE WARRIORS RISEEEEEEEE! Gosh, my little survivor<3 literally, this girl has survived two tribals where she was on the chopping block both times. I was relieved I didn't have to go into a depressive episode tonight. It's great that Danielle has made enough of a relationship ("coupleship" lol) with Roy because I think he was the one who ultimately saved her for this round’s vote although it came down to what Casey wanted to do. Danielle is extremely intelligent, so I can foresee her being wicked at future immunity challenges that are more of mind games, but I’d like to see her use that intelligence socially to become more self-aware because currently, she thinks she was the one who sent Erica home and it was her move & that the vote was originally on Roy, but this is the far from the truth. My fear is that Danielle will continue to be in challenge mode and not realize how much of a social game this is. She reminds me a lot of myself pre-merge because I also was more focused on the challenges than building alliances. Hopefully two tribals in a row with a vote on her doubles her game in size and incentivizes her to make more one-on-one calls. I think it already has because apparently Carson already really likes her! Regardless, I'm very proud of her thus far and am elated that she's had the confidence she’s demonstrated so far, especially as a new player.
Brendan- The actual definition of happy-go-lucky. I know I would love to be his friend, but from a game perspective, he doesn't seem to be using his charm much to his advantage because he seems fairly inactive. Considering his track record in ORGs my hopes for Brendan aren't too high, but I think that if he has one thing going for him it's that he was at least a part of an Abby, Juju, and Dusty alliance, even if he was at the bottom of it. I’m honestly predicting that he will be the first boot on Harrow, though.
Dusty- ... I want her to be MY mom. I knew she was going to be a personality, but I didn't think she was going to surpass everyone, even Louise, in humor. Dusty, if you're reading this, I don't know exactly what your day job is, but you should really consider doing standup. Anyways, it's INCREDIBLE that she found the idol, but of course, I recognize that this was 90% Abby and Juju's doing. Props to her for aligning with the powerhouses and org vets of the Bexley tribe, though! I'm hoping that in this swap she's able to become a little more malleable to the new tribe dynamic and not overpower conversations because as we've seen, she can be A LOT.
Ethan- Gosh, I’m glad he sees that having Leanna out of his game might do him some good because this man needs some independence. He was very clingy and demanding of the tribe to constantly talk to him, and I think Marissa said it best, although she was directing it towards Carson, that if you need to be talking to your allies 24/7 then maybe you didn’t create an alliance with a strong foundation in the first place. I also think he shouldn’t have completely shut Marissa out because he screwed Leanna over in that sense. He’s honestly someone who could use the idol and is lucky to have one because Marissa is definitely spilling the tea about him to Ealing and Carson and Zaid are probably going to air out his dirty laundry in Harrow. I’m impressed that he found the idol, though. Roy’s probably going to be the leader of this tribe and idk if the two of them are going to vibe.
Carson- I love a player who plays for “one reason and one reason only: to slit throats and get the mill.” He comes across as this young, lovable gummy bear, so when he said that he’s not here to make friends I was like OH BABY I’M INTERESTED. I think Carson had a really strong start to his game, having a strong in with Leanna and Ethan without being conjoined at the hip and also maintaining a relationship with Zaid and even Marissa. However, although I saw his frustrations with Ethan and Leanna pushing an unfair standard of what’s considered “active,” Carson was even trying to multi-task on his first call with Ethan so I think if Carson would simply say, “I’m busy instead of trying to do what he wants and what his allies want simultaneously, none of that beef with Leanna and Ethan would’ve escalated last round (and if he didn’t accidentally send what he sent in their alliance chat of course.) I’m curious to see how him, Ethan, and Zaid will move forward, but am super excited that he’s made a connection with Danielle; it doesn’t surprise me as they’re both socially hip, college kids new to the ORG scene. Needless to say, I’m not sleeping on Carson.
Zaid- The VL honestly melted at his intro video and the video that he sent in his prod chat. I know players like Leanna felt a little wary of him mentioning that he’s a POC and is worried how that will affect his game, but I’m so happy he’s bringing attention to the subconscious biases players may not even think about. He seemed to be a little all over the place, but was a part of a majority alliance while also being a #1 to the minority, so he’s certainly a smart player and a social one on top of that. I have to watch more of his confessionals to get more of a read on him, but I stan Zaid.
Eliminated:
Malik: I knew he’d be off off to a rocky start the first night he messaged his tribe chat saying it was Thursday on a Friday LOL. I honestly think he was just unlucky being on such an overwhelming and chaotic tribe. I was really looking forward to watching him as an Olivia recruit though! Hopefully this doesn’t discourage him from participating in future ORGs.
Calum- So he got voted out second, and I'll just give my quick two cents: this didn't shock me. His inactivity was a major factor in his downfall, but aside from that, I thought his intro video was extremely sketch, as he said "you'll never know what I'm going to do next." With that line, I'd have a hard time trusting him, and it looks like his tribe may have felt the same.
Erica- Alright, so Erica just got voted out, which despite being happy about because it was between her and Danielle, a part of me is actually a little sad. From watching her intro video at first, I was like, "oh gosh, she's terribly awkward. I can't see her socially thriving on this tribe." Erica proved me wrong though because she was able to form an awesome relationship with Louise. Plus, like Katie said during the first Con Q&A, she kind of owns her awkwardness! I think her performance in the second challenge was pretty bothersome to the tribe though and could have impacted the vote last roundt. Plus, Roy and Casey may have wanted to vote out Erica to give them more control over numbers by splitting up the Erica/Louise duo. I think Danielle just wanted her out because she didn't vibe with her. Although, I thought it was super cute at the first tribal how she went on about how great Danielle did describing the images in the challenge. She was also so sweet and understanding while she was leaving tribal last night:’( ugh queen.
Leanna- Well, I didn’t get good vibes from her intro and I think that instinct was right. I appreciate an overly invested player over an inactive player, but if I’d have to pin the unfair standard of activeness on anyone, it’d probably be her because she had the opportunity with her experience to be like Ethan chill tf out. Most people are saying her downfall was more because of her allies, but she was saying things like Marissa was her #2 ally in her confessional thread by saying “woman<3” which is just fake because according to Marissa, she hardly talked strategy with her at all. That being said, I honestly think if she was more genuine with people like Marissa, the outcome could’ve been much different for her.

Want to post my thoughts on both Abby and Juju's scavenger hunt performances because quite frankly, they were shit and I know a lot of viewers are friends with these two and they get a lot of praise in other VL entries and you'll gas them up post season. For two veteran players and one of them being an ORG host themself, this showing was abysmal and their nonchalant attitude about how little they were doing while it was all happening was really disappointing to see. It is pure ego on their part because they know they're in a good spot with the numbers, but if you see your tribe busting their ass and you know one of them will leave, you should be matching it! Just because they're safe, doesn't mean this is good. They're already seen as a major green block and quite frankly it looks like they threw to save Brenden/Dusty. Not a cute round for either of these players and their stock in the game for me has really plummeted. We'll see if they handle the vote as nonchalantly as they treated the challenge.

okay im finally going to do a write up on these ppl.
PURPLE
ABBY - clearly a huge connecting piece for all of the green tribe, she gets lots of info, has lots of control. her and juju will probably be the ones determining the direction of this tribe. can see her threat level rising and her getting clocked though, since dusty is already after her.
JUJU - adore juju, of course, and it’s good that it seems like lee doesn’t quite realize how much he dislikes him. him and abby will definitely be a powerful duo moving forward in this game. really glad he likes casey! i honestly think that lee and miranda are just sort of disposable for abby/juju, and i think they should dump them to decrease the green threat and then work on building connections w the other people on this swap tribe.
LEE - SUCH A GAMEBOT. so delusional. absolutely hate his name dropping thing and hyper-focusing on outside perceptions of the people he is playing with instead of actually figuring that out for himself. YOU WILL NEVER TOUCH MY JUJU. his perception of his tribe standing is so off, doesn’t get that he likely would have been the first boot of this tribe. just rubs everyone except miranda the wrong way. i look forward to him self destructing or being completely oblivious when he actually has to go to a tribal council.
MIRANDA - too focused on challenges, not on social relationship building. sad that this will be her downfall. sucks she is attached to lee who is not long for this game. hope him getting voted out will wake her up, but i fear it may be too late, esp with the other people on this tribe all being strong social players. kind of see her only hope as winning out from this tribe.
LOUISE - i adore louise, i just wish she would give us more in her confessionals, i could listen to her talk forever (way longer than casey, no shade). glad she has good relationships with everyone, hope she survives this tribe, think she could on entertainment factor alone. she is a really loyal player and i hope she can find herself in a strong alliance going into merge.
CASEY - so glad he yet again is doing well socially on this tribe. want him to make merge so bad. want him to shorten his confessionals so bad. less play by play more strategy pls casey. he has been the biggest surprise for me this season. very for the duo between him and louise, i think it is hilarious that he calls her his “untouchable”. bb22 what you do.
MARISSA - SO HAPPY MARISSA SURVIVED THE DUMPSTER FIRE OF OG EALING. carson’s fuck up is the MVP of the season. good on marissa for biding her time and staying loyal to zaid, who was really able to capitalize on carson’s mistake and push his agenda and save Marissa. glad juju and abby will be able to scoop her up and that marissa will hopefully be able to get some power on this tribe and build some solid allies. (winner pic)
who can go? lee and miranda
YELLOW
ETHAN - so spastic, so high-maintenance, so type A, so OTT. a very entertaining character, and i get he is just complaining to get it out, but GEEZ. i just cant stand his attitude towards other players. it will be interesting to see how his crackedness will manifest itself on this swap tribe. please calm down ethan. not everyone is going meet your ridiculous level of communication. i love random tribe calls.
ZAID - i am so excited for him on this new tribe! looks like he is developing good new relationships. hoping him and carson will work with roy and danielle. hoping he will be able to slow down and recalibrate with this new start.
CARSON - our lovable college freshman. just seems like a joy to talk to, love that him and danielle are getting close. he seems to have a good perspective, and will be able to move on from his past mistakes. hope his relationship with zaid stays strong. interested to see what he does w his knowledge of ethans idol.
ROY - what a star. just love roy. honestly getting up there on my winner pics. dedicated, good perspectives, always conscious of how he is coming off and knows what roles to fill. glad he was able to push a little for danielle to stay and that they ended up together on this tribe.
DANIELLE - although im not sure she totally got the game at first- i think having been to her first couple TC’s she is getting into the swing of things. she also isn’t afraid to be direct in what she wants. we love an opinionated queen. seems like she has been connecting w carson and hope she is upping her social game now.
BRENDEN - seems to actually be doing okay? glad that he has been able to experience the game past first boot. dusty seems sus of him, but seems like he has been connecting a little with the purple boys? is it enough to keep him from being a target? idk. only one of the people i’d assume get targeted on this tribe w/o an idol. i would be blown away if him and dusty successfully do and idol play.
DUSTY - please bring yourself out of your missing juju feels our beautiful sweet dusty. please work on establishing new connections w these people. ik ethan can’t stand her, because he has no taste. secretly hoping she idols him out. no one suspects she has it, which i loveeee. just hope she will work on finding new loves on this new tribe besides missing juju and coming after abby. worried.
who can go? ethan or brenden

John and Melody made an interesting point in the VL that a benefit for Abby to boot Lee right away is that it may relax the target on Brenden/Dusty on the other tribe (by signaling that OG tribal lines don't matter.)
It's a factor I've never considered before in a game. But after ruminating on it for a bit, I don't think it's a strong enough reason to determine a boot decision. Mainly, it requires too many assumptions:
- That it will actually influence the other tribe's perceptions enough to change their boot decision - That the other tribe will have to go to tribal at all before merge - And that Brenden and Dusty actually have your back, and weren't just plotting against you the whole time
If it's a super-close decision then maybe, but otherwise my personal view is that it would be overthinking things.
