If you had told me on day 4 of this game (the day I sent a message complaining about Ethan to the tribe chat after I was already on the outs), I would have laughed and then resumed my panicked crying. I can't believe I went from telling my friend that I might as well quit, to F10..!!
This merge scares me a bit because in my last game (the only other merge I've been in), there ended up being two distinct sides at merge. This time around, everything looks like it'll be more fluid, and there may even be voting blocs each round. As of right now, because of what happened at the last tribal with majority green blindsiding Casey, I think it could be seen as a "green vs yellow" battle, with purple in the middle because of my ties to green and Zaid's ties to yellow from swap. But ofc it's still too early to tell.
I know that I've mostly had to play defense rather than offense up until this point. As I've said, I don't like playing a meek game where I let others make the decisions, but I thought my best bet was to let Zaid, and later Juju, feed me information from the majority group and then do what I needed to scrape by. Part of the issue was that I basically only had one person backing me up on each tribe. If I had tried to control things or let information slip, everyone else could've easily used that against me, and I would've had no cushion to prevent me from taking the fall.
Now, things might be different. I might have the freedom to go against Abby because there are more numbers and more people who might be/should be after her as well. I think Abby needs to go sooner rather than later. I'm sure people (especially Louise) will want Lee gone, but Lee holds no power in this game. Without Abby, I think the "green alliance" collapses on itself. Lee and Brenden apparently don't get along, and Lee and Juju have never gotten along because Lee is so scared of Juju's reputation. Brenden and Juju are both closer to Abby than they are to each other. The common denominator is clear.
I had a call with Zaid last night and put a bug in his ear about Abby running the show. I don't want to be the leader laying down the decision, but I do want to start pushing my own agenda, and I hope that I can navigate this merged tribe with Juju and Zaid's help/intel.
