Some thoughts:
1) I SUCK at these challenges. the kicker is, they're mental tasks that should be in my wheelhouse. arithmetic? flop. a strategy card game? flop. of course this round I lost to Juju who was a little too humble about how much of a "fluke" his victory was. it seems like he feels he really needed it (partly true), so good for him I guess. not good for me, as it severely limits viable, obvious targets for the round.
2) I have ZERO clue what my endgame will look like, if I even get there (big "if"). my ideal final 4 is me, Carson, Danielle, and probably Marissa, as that gives me a good shot at victory. the problem is that this is a very unlikely outcome. Danielle is very fervently on Roy's side. and Roy can't make it to the end, lest we simply hand him victory on a silver platter. also, I'm pretty sure Carson feels threatened by my bond with Marissa, as such I can tell he's willing to axe her to force me to rely primarily on him. my mistake for trusting a single person in this game.
3) this vote is looking like Abby vs Marissa. Danielle is pushing for Marissa to go, which I find suspect since I heard from Juju/Marissa that Roy was trying to secure Abby as a future vote. if Marissa goes, that leaves the door wide open for Abby to flip to yellows and take me or Carson out. if Abby goes, it would mean one less number for Roy/Danielle to strike against me, however significant push back on the Marissa idea risks alerting Roynielle that we're still concerned about OG tribe lines. it's not like I ACTIVELY wish to stick to old tribe lines, but it's precautionary. it's almost a game of chicken, since we all have a minuscule of doubt about these cross-tribal bonds taking precedence over old bonds. it's just a question of whether people will actually act on that perception.
4) when I played college Survivor, I felt to some degree that I was playing a good strategic game, however my social game was weak. this time around, my hand is more cookie jars and I'm overwhelmed. I don't know how to play this merge. I know I can't just HOPE I survive this round, I must act. but Dear God how I so desperately yearn to beat my Survivor Northeastern placement of 8th: I have to survive this Tribal for that to happen.
