FINALE ROUND
We have entered the Finale phase of the game and what a Final 5! Losing Danielle was definitely sad, but ultimately I think it was the right move. Both Danielle/Roy are the front runners to win whether their games deserved that credit or not. They were both universally like by the jury and on a trajectory to win, so I totally understand why one of them had to go. With Roy being immune, Danielle was the only option.
Now onto the Final 5, I think we’re definitely in to some very high stakes rounds as people fight to secure their spots in the Final Tribal Council. The win is up for grabs for any of these players, with the exception of Carson who is likely in too deep of a hole with the jury to dig out. I usually do a power ranking for the finale round, but honestly it’s too close to call between most of the players for me to do that this time. So instead I’ll just touch on each players finale prospects.
CARSON
As I said earlier, Carson is least likely to win this season. He hasn’t done too much of anything on his own in the game and a lot of the jury aren’t big fans of him and his gameplay. I think Carson is on course to make the Finals, but he is also most likely to get no votes in the Finals. I really don’t know what he could do to place him ahead of others. That’s one of the problems with just riding the majority wave for a lot of the game, you fade into the background.
JUJU
After a playing a fantastic merge game, Juju’s biggest issue right now is that the only people who know he’s played this game are Louise and the viewers. So much of the jury are in the dark on what Juju has done and see him as just a floater coasting to the end. He’s definitely more than that in the game, but the problem is perception is reality in the game of Survivor. If people see him as coasting and not playing, that is the reality even if it’s not true. Juju needs to breakout and show his game before the FTC because the jury will not be buying what he’s selling if he waits that long to be open about what he’s been doing.
LOUISE
Without a doubt the most aggressive game of the season, and with Juju as a duo the players in control of the game at the moment. Louise is seen as a major threat, but she’s also seen as someone playing dirty and making enemies. Danielle and Roy forgave her once for lying to her, but twice may be too much to ask with the duo both saying they won’t vote for her to win. That’s just two votes though and although Louise is taking the harder path to the end game, it honestly is the path that I think best sets her up to win. She can’t sit at the end with Roy, I don’t even think she can avoid the risk of bringing him to Final 4 if he doesn’t win Immunity even though it would set her up for the Finals if he lost then. Louise just needs to set herself up for her best shot at winning Final 4 Immunity and hope she can sway the jury in the Finals. She’s played one hell of a game, definitely a villain’s arc the way she’s turned on almost everyone in the game at least once, but a game that would definitely warrant a win.
MARISSA
The ups and downs of Marissa’s game have been amazing to watch and I honestly feel like they’ve helped her out a lot and made her relax and play a better game in the last phase. The first few jurors are definitely not Marissa fans, but the late game jurors see her game and how well she has done. She’s not one to count out of this game just yet and could easily pull off a win at the Final Tribal Council. We just have to see her be confident in herself and the game she has played. Also, an Immunity win would help either this round or next! Marissa has had one of the wildest journey’s we’ve ever seen and she’s be a fantastic winner to cap off this season.
ROY
Literally nothing I wrote for any of the player’s potential to win will matter if Roy makes the Finals. I could see Roy winning unanimously honestly. Roy asked in his production chat for us to tell him after the season why he was seen as such a threat. Honestly he hasn’t played that standout of a game in my opinion to be as big of a threat as he is, and I think Roy would agree with that. The key trait though that makes him such a threat though is his social game. He always says he’s more about quality of conversation vs quantity, and this strategy works for Roy because although you don’t talk to him for long when people do the value is there. That’s why he’s so scary, he’s not a player that needs to constantly talk to people to make them feel trustworthy. He has this natural leadership and ability to become close with people without significant effort and that’s why the jury doesn’t have much negative to say about him.
Tonight we’re going into an Endurance challenge that will lead to the Final 4. This is do or die for Roy, and honestly everyone should be giving this 100% to get him out. As important as it is for Roy to win, for literally anyone else to have a shot at winning they need Roy to lose one of the next two challenges so this should be do or die for them as well! We’ll see the fight they all have tonight.
