We're back! It's been a hot minute since you guys last saw us crowning Erica the winner of C16. Honestly, taking a break to enjoy summer was a beautiful choice for my mental health and we're feeling very refreshed going into our last season of 2020! Despite the overall less than ideal vibe 2020 has had, we've had two fantastic seasons of CONQUEST so let's go for the hat trick! As I said in the alumni chat, I think we have a really fresh and fun cast for this season. This is a group on paper I really love and am excited to see play. We have lots of fresh faces to ORGs having played only a couple games, and a lot of players having C17 as their ORG debut! We're going to save some newbies for later though and quick off our reveals with 6 players that some of you might recognize.BRENDEN Some of you may recognize Brenden even though he's relatively new to the ORG season. CONQUEST will be his third game that he plays, but unfortunately for Brenden, round one of C17 will be only his fourth round of an ORG. In his first two times playing games Brenden has been the first and second boot. Not quite the best track record, but I think if Brenden can find his footing and actually last a few rounds in a game he has a lot of potential to be a great character. From his interview I believe Brenden suffers a bit from playing too hard too fast. Hopefully third time is the charm for Brenden because I'd love to see him succeed this season.JUJUIt's always tough casting people who have been around the block ORG wise and Juju is definitely one of those players. Hosting his own series as well as playing in many of the more popular games, he's someone who has fallen by the wayside for previous seasons because of his connections. This season we really wanted to make it be the time Juju made the cut, and honestly I feel like this is a great cast to challenge him. I have him on a starting tribe that I think is not a dynamic he will be used to and will push him out of his comfort zone. For a vet player I love to really give them a challenge and see if they rise to it. I think Juju will!LEANNAThe pride of Maryland has made her way to CONQUEST. I had heard a lot about Leanna through the grapevine as she's really made her mark this year in the community playing in multiple games. I will say though when I finally got to meet her at her interview it was not the type of player I was expecting. I had heard Leanna was a very over the top player but I definitely got the vibe that she's smart and sly and could really do some damage in a game. I think she's someone to watch to go deep in this game and I'm really excited to see what she brings with this group.LOUISETo anyone that has heard anything about my recent experience in playing CYS, this will not be a surprise at all. I need to keep this write up in equal length to try and maintain some view of being impartial, but if I was giving my full thoughts on Louise I would be writing a literal dissertation. Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it. That is Louise. In all honesty though, she will without a doubt be a fan favourite because she's hysterical but on top of all that she knows this game, gets the strategy and is good at it! If she can get in a good position with the backing of a solid alliance, Louise could easily be the winner this season and I hope she is!MARISSA Coming off of what I believe was a fourth place finish in Utopia, this golden gopher is exactly the player I love to cast. Someone that is here to play and here to win after making a deep run in a game and just missing out. I always say players are "ones to watch" because let's be real, we aren't casting people that we don't want to watch, but Marissa is someone who gives off major potential winner vibes to me. I think she'll be that player who everyone talks about liking early on, plays down herself in the early phase then absolutely pop up as a huge contender later. I would be shocked if Marissa doesn't make it past the early phase of the game and I'm excited to see what she'll bring to this cast because I think she's in it for the long haul.ROYSimilar to Louise I could go on and on about how much I enjoyed playing with Roy. Without a doubt one of the smartest players I have ever played with in a game, Roy brings everything you want to see in a player. He'll bring the sass in his voice memos, the smarts in his strategy and an absolute cutthroat nature when he slays the faves on his path to victory. The one thing that has been Roy's downfall both times I've played with him is that he's not the best at hiding how good of a player he is. Hopefully the Survivor format gives him that opportunity to find the right balance needed to talk it all the way to the end!

*writes Marissa's name into the endgame in PEN*
Doesn't matter what the cast looks like, Marissa is someone who can and will do well. She's got a great mind for the game, something to prove to herself after Utopia, and an incredible ability to make you like her almost without giving off the impression that she's trying. She'll go deep.
Excited for Roy — I believe one of my first games on Tumblr forever ago was with him, though if memory serves we never crossed paths. From the intro video he seems SUPER laid back in a thoughtful kind of way. He gives off the vibe that if he's listening to you, you're getting 100% of his attention. That's the kind of player I love to watch.
I'm so looking forward to Louise's confessionals. She seems funny as all hell. I don't get the strongest vibe of how much of a gamer she is, but I feel like she'll be fun to watch for as long as she's around in the game. Doesn't strike me as someone who will play "boring."
I really like Leanna. She's funny, a bit cracked out strategically but in a fun OTT kind of way. I worry about her bouncing from game to game so quickly, too, because that always leads to such a penchant to overcorrect from immediate mistakes. But if she can chill and find her level and her people early, I can see mid-merge easily.
Juju... I watched his season of Voyage pretty closely but I still couldn't tell you MUCH about his game? Which is not a bad place to be when you've got a louder personality like he does. I think I remember him being his own worst enemy? I don't think he was in a terrible spot before that.
Brenden looks like he's got a smile perma-etched into his face. That's so endearing. He seems far too kind to go early a third time in a row. My mind-canon really wants him to be the Grant that reaches Grant's potential. (Sorry, Grant.)

With a Game Master round tonight and just way too many graphics to still prep for the season, you guys are getting a little quick reveal tonight of 3 new players who will be playing this season! This trio of players are all new to the Skype ORG format, but all have experience in Survivor games through their schools. We love extra curriculars bringing us new players.
DANIELLE
I usually don't make this specific of a prediction, but gun to my head if I had to pick "most likely to come in 2nd by a razor thin margin" Danielle would be the front runner! Coming to us via the dynamic duo of Jack (C14) and Jackie (C16), Danielle is ready to break the curse and bring home the win to Ramapo! I'm very high on Danielle, if she's able to adapt to the online format she is super sweet and has a decent knowledge of reality shows. I think she could be someone that plays a little more low key than others but who's likeability could take her all the way to the win. Players will need to be careful of how far they let Danielle get, because just like Jackie last season, I think if they give her enough time to get into the groove she will be a major contender!
ETHAN
Coming to us by way of Whitworth University and C16's Hannah is none other than Ethan! He was in the mix for last season but unfortunately we weren't able to fit him into the cast. This season as soon as casting started I made sure to reach out to him because I was really hoping we'd get the chance to host him. In his interview Ethan gave me 30 minutes before a TC with no decision on who the vote will be chaotic energy, and this was just for an interview. I think he's someone who will easily fit in with almost any tribe dynamic socially, but the question is will he be able to adapt strategically and do enough to win? I look forward to finding out and I think he'll be someone all of you will really like.
ZAID
Would it be a season of CONQUEST without a Northeastern rep? I don't think so, and this season's pick of the litter is Zaid. I don't know what it is about the Northeastern players that make their way to ORGs but they are all very high quality and Zaid is no different. He has the potential to be a force in this game. You can tell from his intro alone that he'll be someone that will be easy to talk to, I could see almost anyone getting along with him, plus he knows the strategy of the game and doesn't strike me as someone that will be afraid to play hard. He is definitely one to watch and I'm sure will be someone high on almost all your lists of players to potentially win this season.

Yasss what an impressive opening group
Brenden - From what I've gathered hes played too hard too fast in the past, homefully third time is the charm? Seems like he could be fun but I FELT those chaotic vibes from the video alone.
JUJU - Like Pat, I can only vaguely recall the beginning of v5, I kinda just conqur with everything Pat said.
Leanna - I've seen her playing like every org under the sun, I'm excited to view her for the first time! Like others had said, Leanna seems to usually go early to mid merge and I identify with that and I have to imagine its because shes a threat. I've only heard amazing things about her so I wish her the best
Louise - I believe I played with Louise in her first game ever and she was a hoot, but didnt last too long, from her video it seems like shes come a long way. From what Ive seen in the CYS group everyone adored her and she is incredibly funny and exciting to watch. Cant wait to see what she brings
Marissa - Playing with Marissa in U2 was an absolute delight. She is sweet, smart, sassy, the whole package. I think Marissa learned a lot coming from Havoc to Utopia, and getting so close and playing such a great game in Utopia, I'm sure she is HUNGRY for this win. She is so chill and lowkey and she can keep her head steady when things get crazy. Love this lady, one of my winner picks for sure
Roy - YASSSSS. I think a few Roy a few times over the years and he never disappoints. Like John said he has trouble keeping his threat level down, and I felt like you could just tell from his video how smart he was. KING.

brenden - homeboy was a hot mess in ecstasy, throwing out 7 names on an 8 person tribe. hopefully he's learned since then and will cool it down because i remember people liking him!
leanna - love her <3 her biggest issues are just being too honest with people / openly talking about things like how she can be like parvati, that she's played games before, etc. because it's not necessary and it sketches people out. she definitely knows that and didn't get the chance to Play in her last game so i'm hoping she can this time!
roy - i'm most excited to watch him play i think, i feel like he's going to clock those in power and get them out!
zaid - the light of my LIFE <3 he's has such a good brain for the game, and he understands survivor strategy better than most. he's quiet but likable, and enough of an extrovert for these games. he knows his mistakes in the past, which was not talking to the other side and therefore making him an easy target. i really hope he kills it!!
